About Me

I am based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

Before training to be a counsellor, I mainly worked in offices but I had always wanted to be in a role where I was helping and supporting people struggling with their mental health.  I had previously had counselling myself and I knew how beneficial and life-changing it can be. I wanted to be able to help and support people in a professional capacity, so I decided to take the steps to becoming a qualified counsellor.

I am very passionate about being a counsellor and supporting people, who have previously felt in a dark place or stuck in their lives, feeling more empowered and positive about themselves and the future.I am a person-centred counsellor and this approach is at the core of my work with clients. The person-centred approach was developed by Carl Rogers, an American Psychologist.
