Hello and welcome

People come to counselling for many different reasons:-

- emotional overwhelm or numbness

- anxiety, low mood or loss of direction

- relationship difficulties or feeling       misunderstood

- self-esteem, self-criticism, or identity

- life transitions, burnout or feeling disconnected from yourself

I understand it can feel difficult to manage these feelings alone and I can support you with difficulties around ADHD, autism, relationship problems, anxiety, depression and low confidence and low self-esteem.

You may not have a fixed idea about what you would like to work on and that is okay, it is very common to come into counselling feeling confused and unsure about how you feel and where to start.

I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.  I also offer a neuro-affirming approach. I am neurodivergent myself so I have personal as well as professional experience of neurodivergence.

As a person-centred counsellor, sessions with me will be shaped around you, your experiences, your feelings, what matters to you and at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I believe that healing and change can happen when we feel safe, heard and understood.  I won't analyse you or offer you advice. My main aim is to provide a warm and accepting place where you can be genuine, so that you can make sense of your experiences, reconnect with yourself and be kinder and more compassionate to yourself.

I am an experienced and certified online and telephone counsellor.  Having online or telephone sessions can feel easier to fit around your life and feel more comfortable being in your own space with your home comforts around you.

I see my role as a supportive and compassionate companion who genuinely wants the best for you.

Sessions will involve the exploration of your experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviours which will lead to you gaining clarity, calmness, self-awareness and self-acceptance.  â€‹â€‹

If something here has resonated with you, you are welcome to get in touch to ask any questions or if you would like to take a further step we can arrange an initial free 20 minute session.  This is a chance for me to get more of an idea about what is going on for you and what you would like to gain from counselling, and you can get an idea about how I work and whether I am the right counsellor for you.

Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly, you can have a set number of sessions or sessions can be open-ended.

We will regularly review the therapy together as we progress through the sessions to ensure you are getting what you need and that it is working for you.
